Thank you for your Seashell review! I’d been almost fixed on the Samsung NC10 until a friend told me about this and got me very curious. I suppose it’s still a bit early to decide… I hope you release another post on it!

  2. Rob says:

Which store on Tottenham Court Rd had it? Or claimed to have it? Seems it’s not in stock anywhere online yet. So might go do the old fashioned buy in person thing…

  3. Jeffrey Wallner says:

Have you fiquired out how to upgrade ram on the 1008HA?

  4. Katie says:

I ended up buying it! And managed to install Photoshop CS3 even tho it was not upgraded.

  5. I bought this netbook primarily to use when travelling, as my main laptop is a Dell that weighs over 5 lbs. The 10.1″ screen is fantastic, and while it is reflective, it is not problematic at all, unless trying to use it outdoors in the daylight. The keyboard runs edge to edge, and the keys feel very natural and are not awkwardly placed for normal typing. Video playback is fine, it is not jerky on iTunes or youtube. When deciding between this one and the 1005HA, for me I did not want the extra .5 lb weight for 2 hrs extra battery life.

Pretty amazing all round for the price. Not sure about inspired by a seashell, inspired by mac more like 😉

  7. I’ve gotten lots of curious eyes at school since I started my netbook. A lot of people ask me about it and I always have the answers because I took a month to research netbooks. I mention the battery life which I usually get about 8 hours with full brightness, playing videos or music, and have multiple programs running simultaneously. It has the option to change the power settings straight from the taskbar as well. The netbook is light and sturdy, and it the screen looks great.
The only thing I could think of that I would change it the monitor being glossy. Being outdoors or in bright classrooms doesn’t really seem to look good as it should, but other than that I love my netbook. My girlfriend now wants one and two students at school asked me for the model number.

The Eee PC 1005HA-V offers great user comfort and convenience with its 92% scaled keyboard,
multi-touch touchpad and instant key (for quick access to touchpad-lock). The 10.1-inch LED-backlit
display and sleek chassis will allow you to work or travel in absolute comfort for hours on end.
The generous 160GB hard disk drive storage will enable you to easily store and access your important data..
Hey, you have a great blog here! I’m definitely going to bookmark you! Thank you for your info. And this is
