So i decided to upgrade my ageing blackberry os from .210 – .247 and thought well in the process let me make a video for my fans… and those that need to know how to do it.
Hi Guys, ok so i wanted to have a look now at the paid for themes out there for the blackberry. Thanks to the guys over at SixTenWebDesign.com, I have a paid for theme to review. It’s slick and well built. It features icons and a features from the familiar windows mobile or xp platform. Along with looking good, its very functional.

Hi guys, courtesy to Big Hulk Dise from www.sixtenwebdesign.com, we have another great theme. Again in a Storm UI style with rollover features for messages + Calender.
Please view the video quick review for a closer look.
As many of you probably already know, im a bit obsessed with theme hunting, particularly the FREE ones. i came across this theme via the pinstack community and owe a big thanks to ‘Big Hulk Diese’ who was kind enough to send me the direct OTA link to this theme. It’s clear, crisp and Bold icons along with rollover feature make it ideal for those obsessed with seeing thier calenders at a quick glance.

or for the direct link to down load hit the OTA icon. (remember this is a JAD file which must be clicked from your blackberry browser) This is for the BOLD ONLY!
Hi guys, its an early start an i awoke to the news of the news of the much anticipated Blackberry App World.
The application is a welcomed move by RIM to give its crowd something to compare to that ‘dreaded’ itunes! Although i must admit, it still has some way to go!
The App World homescreen features four icons across the bottom and “Featured Items” which can be navigated through by scrolling left or right. The first icon – a set of folders with a blue tab – is your Categories folder where you can search for apps by genres such as Games, Music and Video, or Personal Health and Wellness. Next to the Categories icon is the Top Downloads section – denoted by a yellow starred folder. You can also search for applications by clicking on the magnifying glass icon; search works within categories as well.
There are also some issues that have been flagged up already about the limitations of the blackberry handsets themselves as well as some functional aspects of how apps are updated etc. but more to come…
so for my next video, I’v decided to see how my battery life performs under pressure…
i consider myself a hard power user, 100 or so emails daily, my main mp3 player, bluetooth connected, 20-50 sms daily and around 2-3 hours calls through out the day. Not to mention the tons of 3rd party applications. These include:
Vigo
Vlingo
Crackberry shortcut
bbc shortcut
berryreview shortcut
the street mobile stocks checker
weatherbug
twitterberry
APN mobile news
wikipedia
quickpull
Nav4All
Mara task list
Tetris for BB
as well as loads of themes!
so I’m going to see how long the bold will last under the pressure of a full day for me. my itinerary includes:
9am – 1pm: Clinic – seeing patients
2pm – 3pm: Collect item travel other side of central London
3pm-4pm: Home – travel back to my flat and prepare for evening journey to Leicester
4pm-5:30pm: Work on business related items – using my Blackberry to fire out emails.
5:30pm – 7:30pm: go out with flat mate to collect item for kitchen – going to need SatNav
8:30pm: Train leaves for Leicester.
10pm: Meet with friend and go for a coffee.
I’ll be using EDGE 1st and do a similiar review with 3G. So what do you guys think will it last? why not answer the poll…and I’ll post my video tomorrow!
Well Hello you wonderful people! I hope your well…
I’ve got to confess, I’ve failed miserably to try and get a review out on the eee box that i promised to some of you guys. unfortunately, the centre of goodness (hehehhe) LONDON, has been snowed under, and that meant I was unable to get to tech street – Tottenham court Road for the review.
instead i was busy snowfighting, as soon as I’m back from my trip to Leicester, i’l get a review out…hopefully!
after owning a bold now for more than 6 months, i’v been an addict for changing my theme every now and again. i decided to put a short video review of some of my favourite themes for the bold i have used.
Although there’s a range of FREE and PAID for themes out there, i’v decided to just stick with FREE theme’s for now!
My selection of the top three (3) are based on functionality, appearence and overall style.
RIM has recently released a whole bunch of new handsets, all of which have diffrent features and functions, not to mention, aimed at diffrent market sectors. i’v not seen many videos comparing the hot three, however Zara of MobileChic has managed to do exactly that in around two minutes! She’s done a pretty solid job of summing up some of the pros and cons of each device. Been thinking about a new BlackBerry? Can’t decide between the BlackBerry Bold, Storm or Curve 8900? If so, check out the video above. Zara of MobileChic let us know about the quick video overview and comparison she put together. In only two minutes she does a pretty solid job of summing up some of the pros and cons to each device. What are your thought on this? Is she being overly critical of the Storm????Drop your thoughts and reactions in the comments. You can catch more of Zara’s mobile reviews on YouTube.
